Is Anyone Else Dreading 30 Or Is It Just Me?
I can’t be alone on this, there has to be people who feel the same as I. Turning the big three oh gives me mixed emotions; Happiness, sadness, worry, insecurity, nervousness, well you get the picture. Getting older is inevitable and I didn’t really think about turning thirty until It was actually a few months away. (eek!) I started thinking about all of the things I promised myself I would achieve by the time 30 hit and I must confess, I haven’t achieved everything I wanted to but no stressing here! I learned not to be so hard on myself with age.
I Have Compiled A List Of The Top 5 Things To Do Before You Turn 30
and how you can achieve them. Thirty is a milestone year for a reason and you can choose to make it a fab 10 years to come if you have the right mindset. I have learned so much about myself in the last 4 years of my 20’s that I really feel like a completely different person compared to my early 20’s. I thought I was in my prime in my 20’s but boy was I wrong, right now is my prime and it’s only going to get better. So keep your head up, stay positive, keep the good vibes, and do these things before you turn 30!
1. Achieve Your Dream Body
Doesn’t matter what your goal may be whether it’s to lose a few pounds, gain some muscle, run a marathon, or gain some weight, achieving your dream body will be such an accomplishment and will make you feel better about yourself, not to mention about turning a year older.
2. Invest In A Good Mattress & Upgrade Your Bedding
Are you still sleeping on your dated teenage full mattress with the same juvenile comforter? Well guess what, the time has come! Throw out that mattress and comforter and upgrade your bedding! A good night’s sleep is so important and when we are young we don’t care or realize how important it is until we hit our 30’s and we can no longer stay up past 12pm ?(I know, sad story). So save some money and make the investment, you will be sad you didn’t do it sooner trust me.
3. Take A Vacation
You are entering a new life chapter and what better way to start it than with a vacation? Check off Fiji on your bucket list and celebrate life.
4. Invest In Real Estate
If you haven’t purchase a property yet now is a good time to start considering it. Having a place of your own is satisfying and comforting. Knowing that you were able to make the American dream happen for yourself is reason enough so buy yourself a home, decorate it the way you want, and enjoy privacy.
5. Stop Using Your Credit Cards As Extra Income
You should know how to handle your finances by now and your income is steady so start to let go of your credit cards. (If not then start working on it.) In your twenties, credit cards are new and exciting and like most people, (including me) you learn about debt the hard way. Now is the time to payoff your debt and start fresh.
Embrace your last years in your twenties and prepare yourself for the thriving 30’s the right way. If you go into it with a positive attitude, then you will have a positive outcome.
Have you achieved any of these goals yet?
